Oliver Banovic

I studied Industrial Engineering with a focus on Electrical Power Engineering in both my Bachelor's and Master's at RWTH Aachen. As part of the T.I.M.E. double master’s program, I also spent one and a half years studying at KTH Stockholm, where I earned my Master’s degree in “Electric Power Engineering” as well.

After my Master’s, I began working at the Institute for Electrical Systems and Networks, Digitization, and Energy Management, where I am involved in multi-energy and distribution network planning with a focus on investigating development pathways in municipal heating planning and gas and heating networks. Since February 2025, I have also been working at Fraunhofer FIT, where I focus particularly on research in the field of local multi-energy systems.
